12 arrested in PDX for supporting Single Payer

The action heated up on Thursday on national healthcare reform with the arrest of 54 protesters nationally using non-violence tactics to bring the single payer reform to the fore front of the national conversation. This was a nationwide effort organized by HealthCare Now. Portland was one of the cities where these actions took place with 12 people being arrested for trespass at the doors of Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield.
